Irish Biltong was today named as the Official Biltong Supplier to Connacht Rugby for the coming year.

The family owned business run by Noreen Doyle and her husband John from their farm in Co. Kildare is set to fuel Connacht Rugby’s players with the finest of 100% Irish Dried Beef snacks.

Biltong is a meat snack that originated in South Africa many hundreds of years ago. The air-dried meat is marinated in spices and the result is a tasty, ready to eat healthy beef snack, high in protein and low in sugar & fat.

Speaking at the announcement, Gavin Duffy, Sponsorship Manager at Connacht Rugby said;

‘Connacht Rugby are delighted to have Irish Biltong on board as the official supplier of Biltong to the team. Irish Biltong is a healthy meat product many of the players are already incorporating into their diet be it as a snack when they are on the go or after training for recovery so there is a natural fit already established and we look forward to working with Noreen and her team over the coming year.‘

Noreen Doyle at Irish Biltong added;
